Seong Hye-Seung served as a Youth Researcher at VANK from September 2024 to February 2025. Her most notable achievement was correcting misinformation about Korea on the international maritime information site Marine Insight, successfully changing the name of the sea east of the Korean Peninsula from "Sea of Japan" to "East Sea."
She also planned and carried out a campaign to designate June 1st as "Taekkyeon Day" and to include Taekkyeon, a traditional Korean martial art, in the school curriculum.
