It has been confirmed that the East Sea is either marked alone or together with the Sea of Japan in world history textbooks studied by American middle and high school students.
On the 13th, Park Ki-tae, head of the cyber diplomatic organization VANK, stated,
“In the world history textbook Holt World History: Human Legacy, published by Holt McDougal in March 2007, the East Sea is labeled independently.”
“There are also parts of the textbook where the East Sea and the Sea of Japan are marked together,” he added.
