Lee Sei-yeon served as a youth researcher at VANK from September 2025 to August 2026. She worked on campaigns to correct biased and inaccurate portrayals of Africa in Korean and foreign textbooks, dictionaries, digital encyclopedias, public data and AI systems, while also analyzing changes resulting from VANK’s correction efforts. She also investigated errors and distortions about Korea in generative AI and overseas educational websites, developed AI-based analysis platforms and indicators, and organized ambassador programs, seminars and public diplomacy activities to promote accurate information about Korea and Africa.
